Principal Quality Engineer
Responsible for establishing and maintaining process controls for manufacturing Medtronic products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and developing inspection systems to satisfy print requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality or process engineering.
- Expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience in developing and implementing measurement systems.
- Proficiency in process control for manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints with a deep understanding of GD&T principles.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days on-site weekly.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with CNC programming and process collaboration.
- Experience devising methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and equipment.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality assurance protocols.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CNC programmers to establish control methods that meet print and process requirements.
- Develop and maintain inspection systems to satisfy print specifications.
- Implement and monitor SPC systems based on historical data to control processes.
- Ensure quality standards and protocols are in place throughout the manufacturing process.
- Design and specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
- Conduct quality assurance tests and statistical analyses to evaluate product precision and accuracy.
- Develop methods to address and document corrective actions for non-compliant products or materials.
- Specialize in areas such as production control, product evaluation, or inventory control as needed.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
