Summary:
Responsible for supporting QA, Supply Chain, and suppliers in areas of design, manufacturing, and inspection while driving improvements for production parts and processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 5–10 years of experience in aerospace/mechanical design or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Experience in aerospace design, testing, manufacturing, and/or maintenance.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in interpreting drawings, manufacturing methods, and inspection techniques.
  • Experience evaluating non-conforming materials for fit, function, safety, and reliability.
  • Ability to perform design reviews and analyze supplier or product changes.
  • Familiarity with first article inspection reviews and supplier documentation.
  • Knowledge of test plan development for production parts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to QA, Supply Chain, and suppliers regarding design, manufacturing, and inspection methods.
  • Evaluate and analyze non-conforming materials, communicating findings as required.
  • Complete engineering changes with substantiation and drawing updates for product improvements.
  • Participate in design reviews for supplier changes, product changes, and production part improvements.
  • Review and provide feedback on manufacturing process plans for production parts.
  • Guide junior Project Engineers on designs, methods, regulations, and procedures.
  • Develop and oversee test plans for production parts to ensure quality and reliability.


Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
