Principal Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Summary:
Responsible for managing sourcing activities, including project management, supplier negotiations, and supply chain optimization within a manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant sourcing experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Background in medical devices.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Materials Management, or Supply Chain-related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365, particularly Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, macros).
- Proficiency in data analysis using Power BI.
- Expertise in integrated manufacturing software systems.
- Familiarity with Demand Flow, JIT, K-Loop, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Experience leading and influencing supplier negotiations and project management.
- Exposure to planning, purchasing, materials, and inventory control environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage sourcing activities to support manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal terms and agreements.
- Oversee project management initiatives related to sourcing and supply chain improvements.
- Analyze data and generate insights using tools such as Excel and Power BI to optimize processes.
- Implement and maintain best practices in inventory control and materials management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $65.00 per hour
