Software Engineer
Job Summary:
Designs, develops, and maintains software solutions using multiple programming languages, following best practices and supporting a secure, high-quality software development lifecycle.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience with two or more programming languages (Java and .NET preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented programming and ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
- Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Extreme Programming, Scrum, or Kanban)
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Six to eight years of experience as a software engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions by studying user needs, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and following the software development lifecycle
- Assess operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and solution development
- Document and demonstrate solutions with clear documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and code comments
- Design and install software solutions by determining system specifications and standards
- Conduct systems analysis to improve operations and recommend policy and procedure changes
- Stay current with development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment
- Maintain confidentiality of operational information
- Provide insights by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
- Mentor and support software engineers through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
Pay Details: $50.00 to $57.00 per hour
