Summary:
Responsible for designing and developing instrumentation and control systems, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5-10 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge of standards related to instrumentation and controls.
  • US Citizen, Green Card, or TN Visa status.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, and DCS equipment.
  • Familiarity with control valve sizing using vendor software.
  • PLC/DCS programming experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create installation details, electrical room layouts, cable schedules, control panel layouts, loop diagrams, and instrumentation plans.
  • Develop control narratives and process instrumentation specifications.
  • Size control valves and develop specifications for instrumentation and control systems.
  • Review vendor submittals and other discipline drawings for instrumentation and control input.
  • Evaluate vendor bids and provide input on equipment selection.
  • Consult with cross-functional team members to ensure project information flow and on-time project completion.
  • Develop and assemble scopes, drawings, and specifications for procurement packages.
  • Contribute to the development of P&IDs for instrumentation and control systems.


Pay Details: $51.00 to $69.00 per hour
