Solidworks Mechanical Designer
Job Summary:
Designs and develops Hot Aisle Containment Systems and Structural Ceilings for data centers, utilizing 3D CAD tools and supporting product development through testing and ERP system management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience with 3D SolidWorks CAD design in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and Revit.
- Experience in maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM) and labor routings in an ERP system.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with product design for doors, partitions, walls, and ceilings using materials such as extruded aluminum, structural steel, and polycarbonate.
- Experience with product pricing and cost estimation.
- Understanding of quality procedure documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create new product designs using 3D CAD tools, including rapid prototyping and first article testing.
- Maintain and update BOMs and labor routings in the ERP system to ensure accuracy in cost accounting and inventory management.
- Develop quotations for non-standard product pricing requests, communicating feasibility and lead times.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to address product design challenges and provide solutions.
- Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and associated documentation for product development.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
