Summary: Seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in embedded firmware and electrical design, preferably in a defense electronics manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements:

  • BSEE from an accredited university or equivalent

  • 4-8 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a defense electronics manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency using schematic capture tools

  • Ability to read and comprehend basic engineering design concepts, standard operating procedures, engineering change notices, technical reports, and correspondence

  • Strong electrical aptitude with the creative ability to produce original designs

  • Ability to run simulations (e.g., signal integrity) as needed to evaluate designs

  • Familiarity with MIL specifications; MIL-STD-1553 required

Preferred Skills:

  • MSEE or actively pursuing one is desirable

  • Experience with RAD Hard designs

  • C programming for embedded drivers

  • VHDL/FPGA design experience

  • PIC/ARM experience

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical design contributing to new product development as well as maintaining and troubleshooting existing products

  • Work with the Mechanical Designers during the feasibility stage of packaging

  • Provide electrical design constraints at the design stage

  • Recommend changes to existing products and implement them as necessary

  • Produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images

  • Verify power and heat budgets for the design

  • Design parts based on written and verbal descriptions

  • Work closely with production during initial builds

  • Make recommendations to enhance product performance

  • Support qualification testing.

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
