Job Summary:
Applies coatings and markings to various surfaces using spray guns, brushes, and other methods, while maintaining and operating painting equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating and maintaining automatic and non-automatic painting, spraying, and dipping equipment
  • Knowledge of pigments, oils, solvents, and mixing techniques to achieve desired paint specifications
  • Ability to follow instructions for marking components using silk screen, stencil, or pad printing methods
  • Familiarity with cleaning parts using solvents, aqueous cleaners, or abrasive blasting

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in applying tin plating and performing light mechanical assembly
  • Proficiency in making and using paper stencils based on sketches or blueprints
  • Ability to use spray guns for stenciling with materials such as ink, enamels, lacquer, and paint
  • Understanding of masking/unmasking processes and shot/abrasive blasting techniques

Job Responsibilities:

  • Applies coatings such as enamels, lacquers, and paint using spray guns, brushes, or other methods
  • Adjusts and directs spray to achieve specified finishes
  • Operates and maintains painting, spraying, and dipping equipment
  • Mixes paints to desired specifications based on knowledge of materials
  • Cleans parts using solvents, abrasive blasting, or aqueous cleaners
  • Follows instructions for marking and stenciling components using various inks or paints
  • Washes, masks, and prepares parts and weldments per manufacturing instructions


Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
