Job Summary:
Executes software validation tests for embedded systems using hardware-based fixtures, troubleshooting electrical components and documenting software defects.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline (minimum); Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics, electrical, and software testing
  • Proficiency in test engineering and executing test cases
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of basic lab equipment: Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, soldering equipment
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in wiring assembly

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with software validation testing
  • IPC-610 Certification
  • Experience in Test Case Management
  • Familiarity with building test fixtures for control software validation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executes software validation tests for embedded systems following test steps, recording data, and documenting software defects
  • Builds test fixtures to support controls software validation
  • Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies developmental and production electronic components and systems
  • Reads and interprets electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Conducts 90% software testing and 10% hardware testing using hardware-based fixtures


Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
