Job Summary: Seeking a Human Factors Engineer to evaluate surgical robotics designs for safety and ease of use, focusing on usability testing, risk analysis, and human factors program documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience moderating usability testing with end users and customers
  • Knowledge in usability risk analysis and design guidance
  • Familiarity with OR procedure observation and contextual inquiry
  • Ability to aid in data collection and root cause analysis during testing
  • Experience with regulatory documentation for usability
  • Post-market analysis experience to recommend risk control enhancements

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in surgical robotics or medical devices
  • Experience with human factors program activities and documentation
  • Familiarity with risk analysis methodologies

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer usability testing of prototypes with surgeons and OR staff
  • Conduct risk analysis for use-related issues
  • Contribute to design guidance and maintain human factors program documentation
  • Moderate interviews with end users to gather insights
  • Assist in planning and execution of human factors activities
  • Support the preparation of usability-related regulatory documentation
  • Provide recommendations on use-related risk control enhancements upon post-market launch


Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
