Job Posting: Lead Technician - Manufacturing and Assembly

Seeking a Lead Technician to assist in directing work, resolving technical problems, and improving efficiency in a manufacturing and assembly environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, assign, and direct work while resolving technical issues
  • Assist supervisor in building schedules and estimating worker hour requirements
  • Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders, assigning duties accordingly
  • Adjust work procedures to meet build schedules and recommend improvements in methods, equipment, and product quality
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to improve shop or crew efficiency
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, assisting workers in finding solutions
  • Estimate and inspect materials, coordinating with other leaders and departments as needed
  • Material follow-up and attend team meetings
  • Determine break points for cable trays, piping, and other assemblies for teardown with other leaders
  • Adhere to safety and environmental regulations, identifying concerns when necessary
  • Update E-BOM summaries weekly for the mechanical supervisor
  • Perform basic machining and welding tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or a minimum of 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and government regulations
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, and statistical analysis
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Skilled in problem-solving with practical applications in a non-standardized environment
  • Basic machining and welding skills required

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing and assembly environments
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality systems


Pay Details: $17.00 to $22.00 per hour
