Seeking an experienced quality inspector with a background in medical device manufacturing, responsible for inspections, precision measuring, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate CMM machine (running, not programming) for inspections
  • Perform visual inspections with attention to detail
  • Conduct incoming inspection and final assembly inspection
  • Utilize calipers, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Perform pre-sterile and post-sterile inspections as needed
  • Inspect and release raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished devices
  • Separate Device History Records into loads for release purposes
  • Send bioburden and LAL samples to suppliers
  • Document Non-Conforming Reports and participate in investigations
  • Audit in-process records, receiving inspection documentation, and final inspection records
  • Complete first article inspections
  • Collaborate with engineering and machine shop staff on gage design and fixture holding
  • Assist in prototype component evaluations with the Product Engineering Department
  • Communicate with suppliers on dimensional characteristics showing trends of instability

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in a medical device environment
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gage pins, optical comparators, CMM, and vision systems
  • Comfortable working in a clean room environment
  • Experience with tensile testing is a bonus


Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
