Job Summary: Oversee and manage the Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering and design for projects involving Solar gas turbine generators and compressor sets, ensuring seamless technical execution from start to finish.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineering License highly desirable
  • 10+ years of experience leading engineering activities for large, complex projects in the oil and gas industry, with specific experience involving Solar Turbines equipment
  • Familiarity with common fabrication/construction codes and specifications such as ANSI, ASME (B31.3, B31.8, Sect. VIII, D2), ASTM, API, NEC, and IEC
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • 6-Sigma certification is a plus
  • Experience with fabrication yards or facilities is advantageous
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment such as turbines, compressors, and generators is beneficial

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) and design for projects utilizing Solar gas turbine generators and compressor sets
  • Coordinate with project managers, supply chain, document control, and Solar Turbomachinery to ensure smooth technical execution of projects
  • Interface with internal teams including Sales Management, Construction Services Project Management, and Turbomachinery Engineering, as well as external customers, engineering firms, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Travel to fabrication sites, installation sites, and customer facilities as needed to support project requirements
  • Plan, develop, manage, and direct engineering activities for new business proposals and firm business projects valued from $500K to over $20 million, ensuring project success despite high complexity and multiple internal/external interfaces
  • Manage typical BOP equipment including Solar Turbine Compressor or Generator sets, Process Cooler, Local Electrical Room (LER), Fuel Gas Skid, Seal Gas Skid, Yard Valves, Building Ventilation, and Fire & Gas Detection systems
  • Ensure projects are completed within specified timelines, ranging from 1 to 18 months in duration, with occasional longer-term projects


Pay Details: $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
