Job Summary: Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines in an AWS cloud environment, ensuring the efficient processing and analysis of IoT data to drive value for customers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience with cloud data and analytics platforms, preferably AWS (GCP or Azure also acceptable)
  • 5+ years of experience in data and analytics, including SQL, ETL/ELT, data lineage, and data warehousing
  • 3+ years of experience in IT concepts such as integrations, encryption, authentication, batch processing, real-time processing, and CI/CD automation
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS Data Analytics tools such as Glue, Redshift, Lambda, and Kinesis
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Pyspark, Scala, and SQL
  • Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub
  • Knowledge of database management systems, data modeling, and data warehousing best practices
  • Experience in Agile software development and familiarity with DevOps tools and techniques (e.g., CI/CD, Azure DevOps)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with handling unstructured streaming data
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Dimensional Modeling, Star Schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions
  • Understanding of data governance and security practices

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for processing and analyzing large volumes of IoT data, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Design, develop, and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines in an AWS cloud environment
  • Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs
  • Participate in planning and prioritization of development tasks for efficient resource use and timely project delivery
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure data quality and availability
  • Work with the Platform team to ensure secure, reliable, and highly available data analytics infrastructure
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Capture and document data lineage, metadata, and data dictionaries for comprehensive data governance
  • Continuously research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve data processing and analytics capabilities
  • Assist with building and maintaining scalable data pipelines closer to real-time processing


Pay Details: $50.00 to $62.00 per hour
