EHS Manager
EHS Specialist
Seeking an EHS Specialist with 5+ years of experience and 2+ years in biotech or pharma environments to manage and implement environmental, health, and safety programs.
Job Requirements:
BS Degree in EHS-related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of EHS experience
2+ years of biotech or pharma experience (GMP or GLP knowledge required)
Experience managing hazwaste and biowaste operations
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of laboratory safety, biosafety, chemical safety, and occupational safety
Familiarity with Cal/OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT regulations
Job Responsibilities:
Provide EHS support to labs, facilities, and manufacturing under the direction of the Facilities Director
Implement and monitor EHS programs for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Manage hazwaste program, including oversight of hazwaste management and coordination of biowaste activities
Ensure lab safety by implementing biosafety, chemical safety, ergonomics, and emergency response initiatives
Conduct monthly inspections, formal and informal audits, and daily walk-throughs of laboratory, manufacturing, and administrative areas
Manage LOTO, electrical safety, and contractor safety programs, including training and onboarding/offboarding contractors
Oversee site chemical inventory management
Assist in incident reporting and investigation of work-related accidents, injuries, and near-misses; maintain OSHA log
Report deficiencies and oversee corrective actions in accordance with EHS policies
Pay: 75-85

Pay Details: $75.00 to $85.00 per hour
