Job Summary:
Seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality systems, support the validation of new manufacturing equipment, and promote continuous improvement in the fabrication of sheet metal and plastic thermoformed products.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in quality processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma principles, including advanced statistics, design of experiments, and value stream mapping
  • Strong understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of measurement techniques, metrology inspection methods, tools, and equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab, and other manufacturing and quality software databases

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the manufacturing of consumer appliance products
  • Knowledge and experience with 3D CAD software
  • Knowledge of 5S/6S methodologies
  • American Society for Quality certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality systems and changes to promote continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with business units, engineering groups, and project teams to qualify internally manufactured fabricated products
  • Support the validation and acceptance of new manufacturing sheet metal and plastic thermoforming fabrication equipment
  • Utilize quality improvement tools, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to solve problems
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, work instructions, and fabrication control plans
  • Perform measurements of fabricated parts and conduct Gage R&R and capability studies
  • Supervise fabrication quality technicians
  • Establish quality system requirements for new or revised products and manufacturing processes
  • Develop and document key processes, and establish in-process measurement and data collection systems
  • Assist in defining annual quality goals and objectives


Pay Details: $36.00 to $43.00 per hour
