Job Summary: Seeking an EMS Specialist to manage and execute activities related to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification and maintenance.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-5 years management system experience, ideally with Environmental Management Systems in the medical device industry

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and/or other management systems, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485

  • Project management skills (e.g. administrative, WBS, and record keeping)

  • Computer literacy (PC, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Agile PLM is a plus

  • College or University degree in science or engineering preferred; or equivalent training/experience with EMS implementation or maintenance

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure execution of activities associated with EMS, certified or obtaining certification according to ISO 14001

  • Identify and coordinate site activities related to environmental impact, including relevant aspects, significant impacts, compliance obligations, and objectives/targets

  • Create and maintain EMS/ISO 14001 records, ensuring procedures are followed and appropriate evidence/records are established

  • Maintain a library of EMS records and information necessary for local functions, ensuring circulation as required

  • Partner with process owners to ensure assessment, identification, and adherence to requirements and processes

  • Support and/or coordinate internal and external audits, reporting relevant information periodically to the Corporate EMS Manager

  • Participate in the investigation, coordination, and oversight of environmental incidents, near-miss incidents, non-conformance, and Site-EDF/CAPA

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to travel up to 10%, depending on ISO 14001 alignment with other sites

  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification’

Pay: 19-26

Pay Details: $19.00 to $26.00 per hour
