Job Summary: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for developing and executing the strategy to organize, direct, and report on all supplier quality-related activities for design and manufactured items.

Job Requirements:

  • BS Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Reliability Engineering function
  • Expertise in Supplier changes (PPAP)
  • Proficiency in Risk Management Documentation
  • Experience with MSAs, SPC, Quality Plans, Control Plans, and FMEAs

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in supplier selection, qualification, and manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ISO and/or FDA 21 CFR part 820 regulations

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead PPAP qualifications with CMs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance systems with CMs/Suppliers
  • Collaborate with CMs to develop robust SCAPAs
  • Support the Quality team to improve the Supplier Quality process globally
  • Collaborate on New Product Development teams to evaluate future CMs and their quality plans
  • Build and manage the strategy for CMs/Suppliers
  • Communicate with Quality lead on CM initiatives and issues
  • Partner with Supplier Quality Managers to manage CMs in all regions
  • Ensure CM compliance with business Quality Systems and internal procedures
  • Facilitate customer complaints for CM products and ensure corrective actions
  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Request program for consistency
  • Develop and manage a strategy for addressing finished goods CMs/Suppliers capability deficiencies
  • Ensure proper approval and documentation for process, material, or tooling changes at CMs
  • Define and manage the process for building effective partnerships with preferred CMs
  • Maintain compliance with Key Performance Indicators and operational standards
  • Manage and report on CMs/Suppliers audit program
  • Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements for CM products
  • Perform deviation investigations into quality issues from CM activities
  • Manage qualifications of changes and coordinate associated change control activities
  • Evaluate CMs using performance management processes and develop quality performance reports
  • Ensure up-to-date CM Quality Assurance documentation, procedures, and specifications are maintained


Pay Details: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour
