Summary: Seeking a Purchasing Manager with experience leading a team in a DoD/Defense environment for procurement strategy development and supplier management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field

  • 10-15 years of related experience and training

  • Experience as a purchasing manager or similar position

  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management

  • Supervisory and management experience

  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / 80/20 / 6 Sigma / Kaizen

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop procurement strategies and drive material cost savings

  • Manage and develop suppliers

  • Conduct extensive contract negotiations

  • Support margin growth through 80/20-related activities

  • Supervise Buyers and Planners, including hiring, training, and performance appraisals

  • Address and resolve employee complaints and problems

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour
