NPI Project Manager: Oversee development, qualification, and production release of advanced electronic assemblies and related processes

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master's degree a plus
  • 5-10 years of experience in electronics packaging and/or manufacturing
  • Proficiency in analyzing high-volume, high-density SMT processes
  • Familiarity with PCB review tools and design-based software systems
  • Knowledge of Automotive Requirements such as IATF 16949 Certification, PPAP, BIQ, FTQ advantageous
  • Familiarity with advanced packaging and processing for SIP devices
  • Ability to interpret/create tolerance stack-ups for assemblies and parts
  • Solid grasp of DOE, GD&T, and SPC techniques; familiarity with statistical software tools like Minitab a plus
  • Appreciation for material interactions and selections for optimal product designs
  • Practical experience with production equipment or product design beneficial

Responsibilities:

  • Lead NPI projects involving highly automated processes
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and PCB layout teams, providing manufacturability insights
  • Devise assembly strategies and partner with Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams
  • Implement DOE for process enhancements, new methods, and process improvements
  • Interface with Quality, Reliability, and Analytical testing teams for NPI initiatives
  • Work with Program Management, Planning, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to align with customer expectations
  • Utilize SPC data and Six Sigma tools for process control and optimization
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations on process development
  • Support Automotive Readiness for IATF 16949 Certification
  • Initiate and approve manufacturing documentation and ECOs
