Summary: Seeking a Supervising Substation Engineer with extensive experience in substation design, engineering, and project management for large-scale utility projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Licensed professional engineer with over 15 years of industry experience
  • Extensive knowledge of substation engineering and design
  • Ability to obtain a license within one year if registered in another state

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing design teams with multidisciplinary engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Strong understanding of high voltage electrical substation components (138kV and above)
  • Proficiency in AC/DC fundamentals and three-phase power systems
  • Familiarity with engineering software applications
  • Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards
  • Competence in using word processing, spreadsheet, and email software

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and profitability objectives
  • Supervise multiple project teams for timely project completion
  • Assign projects based on requirements and personnel availability
  • Coordinate efforts with construction and purchasing departments
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Apply software for ground grid design, relay coordination, etc.
  • Perform engineering tasks to meet schedules when necessary


Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
