Mechanical Project Engineer

 

Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer responsible for mechanical design, project management, and technical support for capital projects in an industrial plant environment.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience.

• Proficiency in Solidworks; AutoCAD or Draftsight 2D preferred.

• Experience with document management systems (PLM); Team Center preferred.

• Knowledge of OSHA, ASME, ANSI, ISO standards.

• Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, piping and fitting.

• Experience with lifting devices and motor-reducer combinations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office apps.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with mechanics of materials, stress analysis and FEA.

• Knowledge of measurement and vision systems.

• Understanding of advanced technologies like robotics, AGV, ASRS, AI.

• Project Team Leadership or Project Management experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical engineering design including machine specification and component selection.

• Adhere to mechanical design standards in all equipment designs.

• Create budget estimates and bid packages for projects.

• Facilitate procurement of equipment and materials for projects.

• Manage mechanical contractors during equipment modifications & installations through start-up and commissioning.

• Liaise between facility engineering, central quality teams, purchasing teams, and equipment suppliers.

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
