CAD Drafter
Summary: Seeking a CAD Drafter with a background in sheet metal component detailing and proficiency in SolidWorks Sheetmetal package to assist in manufacturing engineering.
Job Requirements:

Experience with CAD for product drawing creation from customer prints

SolidWorks Sheetmetal package expertise required; AutoCAD experience beneficial

Proficiency in MS Excel

Ability to communicate effectively
Preferred Skills:
-
Prior experience programming CNC laser parts from DXF/DWG files is advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided

Familiarity with weldments, sheetmetal, and metal fabrication terminology
Job Responsibilities:
-
Program CNC laser parts using provided training, with previous experience considered a plus

Review engineering drawings for accuracy before release

Produce precise layouts, flats, assembly drawings, and details based on instructions from engineers and executives

Perform clerical duties such as filing, organizing shop routings, and minor data entry
Additional Notes:

The position is a 6-month contract-to-direct opportunity; no permanent hire initially

An interview process that includes an onsite interview and drawing test is required

Candidates must be able to start ASAP within 2 weeks notice period

The role includes a pre-screen math test and a specific question about K factor usage in sheet metal design
Pay Details: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour
