Environmental and Air Permitting Engineer

Summary: Seeking an Environmental and Air Permitting Engineer with expertise in environmental compliance and air permitting under the Clean Air Act.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering

• Minimum of 5 years consulting experience in environmental compliance

• Proficiency in formulating permit applications for various regulatory requirements

• Competence in performing air emission calculations using methods such as mass-balance, engineering judgment, and AP-42 emission factors

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local air regulations, particularly the Clean Air Act

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in industry as well as consulting

• Ability to undertake air-dispersion modeling for industrial processes

• Familiarity with Access or other databases

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete permit applications required under the Clean Air Act

• Support industrial clients in demonstrating effective and economical compliance with environmental regulations

• Communicate with regulatory agencies to advocate for client interests

• Craft comprehensive environmental plans and reports (e.g., SARA Tier II/TRI, SWPPP, SPCC plans)

• Manage and support multiple concurrent projects efficiently

Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
