Summary: Seeking a Commissioning Engineer (EIT) to join the Building Commissioning Team and facilitate proper mechanical, electrical, and plumbing performance in the built environment.

Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

  • Willingness to travel up to 75%

  • Proximity to an international airport

  • General computer skills (MS Office Suite)

  • Ability to discern between independent decision-making and requiring input from others

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience of mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing, Piping) building utility systems and equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates/take-offs for MEP equipment based on design documents

  • Prepare proposals for commissioning projects

  • Participate in commissioning reviews of design documents for commissioned systems

  • Edit commissioning specifications for incorporation into project documents

  • Learn MEP systems concepts regarding design, installation, functionality, and integration

  • Prepare commissioning narratives describing the project process based on agreements

  • Prepare pre-functional checklists (PFCs) based on design documents for commissioning plans

  • Manage project deliverables and client expectations throughout project duration

  • Prepare functional performance tests (FPTs) based on sequences of operation (SOOs) in the design documents for commissioning plans

  • Attend project meetings and prepare notes/minutes associated with commissioning meetings

  • Conduct project correspondence with owners, engineers, contractors, and other team members professionally

  • Conduct site visits to observe equipment installations; prepare site visit reports indicating findings

  • Direct contractors in executing functional performance testing for mechanical systems; document results

  • Manage online commissioning portal and update project information

-Facilitate production of final reports and other reports for commissioning projects

-Assists in resolving complex problems related to conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination



Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
