Purchasing Manager

Summary: Seeking a Purchasing Manager experienced in supply chain management and procurement for overseeing purchasing functions and supplier relationships.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

• 3+ years purchasing management experience in a manufacturing environment

• Comprehensive understanding of integrated supply chain management principles and practices

Preferred Skills:

• Thorough understanding of selecting and building appropriate supply strategies

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage internal and external customer/supplier relationships

• Measure performance of the supply base and ensure reporting processes are in place

• Develop strategically integrated sourcing strategies

• Leverage total cost reductions and quality improvement recommendations

• Evaluate new material, supply, and service developments

• Review and interpret supplier contracts

• Oversee approval and control of the purchasing function of the facility

• Monitor quality resolution mechanisms to ensure they are effective

• Perform full range of managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, coaching, developing employees, planning, assigning work, EEO/AA compliance, performance management, department budgeting

Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
